Сенатор от Омской области Елена Мизулина приняла решение о выходе из партии «Справедливая Россия», членом которой являлась с 2007 года, соответствующее заявление она направила в региональное отделение партии, сообщили в пресс-службе сенатора.

Сообщение о выходе Мизулиной из «Справедливой России» опубликовано на ее сайте.

Елена Мизулина, работающая в Совете Федерации с сентября 2015 года, участвовала в разработке ряда резонансных законопроектов. В частности, она является сторонницей декриминализации побоев в семье. Законопроект о переводе первого прецедента домашних побоев из уголовных преступлений в разряд административных правонарушений был накануне принят Госдумой в первом чтении.

Прежде чем стать сенатором Мизулина была депутатом Государственной думы трех созывов. За свою политическую карьеру она состояла в «Справедливой России», СПС, «Яблоке» и КПСС.
